- Tina Dougherty Review added: 2017.12.26★ ★ ★ ★ ★Visited here after my son went on a school trip and had to make a leaflet recommending a visit - it worked as four of us went and more joining us next time! I've lived in Leicestershire for over 20 years and this was my first visit but it certainly won't be my last. Fantastic and free! Wonderful displays to occupy guests of all ages. Interactive for the young and inquisitive and texts with additional information for those wanting to learn even more. Knowledgeable Museum Guides on hand to help throughout. The Egyptian area was my favourite, whilst my dad liked the dinosaur area, mum the paintings and my son just loves it all. The upstairs was closed off on our visit but still plenty to do, lots of places to sit down and rest and good access for those with limited mobility. We spent 3.5hours here, had a lovely snack in the café and discussed our return! If you haven't visited please give it a go - you won't be disappointed.
