Great little gym good equipment does what you need open 24/7. Only one issue parking isn't great always seems to be full even when the gym itself isnt busy. I believe of it being close to the university I think students are also parking their cars there.

Firstly I will preface this review - this is the first gym I have been too (aside from the other pure gym near the train station) so perhaps I am simply ignorant to the reality of all gyms, but this gym leaves a lot to be desired.

Firstly, the good, I like the self service aspect of the gym. Put in a code and you're free to enter any time of the day (assuming you have the correct membership). I like a minimum of hassle and it certainly achieves that.

The facilities are very clean by and large. I think they have a full time cleaner because I always see him walking around the gym. This confuses me because he often ends up cleaning the same things over and over again while I am there. Still, it certainly achieves cleanliness.

There are also a lot of cardio options (this is half a bad half a good, because really they should make room for more weight stuff in my opinion).

I think overall the atmosphere amongst the members is quite friendly, and the people there are quite experienced gym goers.

Now onto the bad... I have many complaints with this gym. Firstly, the equipment is quite old, breaks down quite often, and has a quite cheap feel to it. Worse than that however, is that there isn't enough of it! This gym is incredibly busy most of the times (I've taken to coming on Saturdays and Sundays because it is just crazily busy during the week), which wouldn't bother me so much if the amount of equipment available was commensurate with the amount of people who go to the gym. For example, there is only ONE decline bench in the entire building. Good luck getting that when you need it! I have once been using a Smith Machine and within roughly 10-15 minutes had 5 people all ask if they could use it. Having a queue of 5 people to use one piece of equipment is just unacceptable in my opinion. This is not uncommon! Being a popular gym is no excuse!

The lockers are awful. Most of them barely open and close properly, some are outright broken, and some have had padlocks on them so long the padlocks have gathered dust. These lockers should be freed up and broken lockers should be maintained correctly!

Trainers are quite unhelpful. I am a beginner to going to the gym, and the only advice I've ever had is from other members, the trainers have never said a single word to me since I have been going for roughly 6 months. To put it succinctly, there are mostly male trainers, and these trainers seem to treat the gym like their own personal bar. This does not bother me, but it does bother me that they only single out attractive girls to give advice and help to. I don't see them giving advice to anyone else. The female trainers seem to give help to exclusively female members also. This could be typical gym culture that I am not aware of (maybe men are less open to unsolicited advice?) so this could be my newbieness coming through.

I have other minor complaints but they're not worth voicing really especially when there are more pressing issues.

    TL;DR
    - Good atmosphere.
    - Very clean.
    - Not much hassle.
    - Lack of equipment (due to the overwhelming numbers of members). More equipment should be purchased!
    - Equipment is quite old and of low quality.
    - Free weights area is miniscule
    - Trainers aren't helpful if you're a guy.
    - The lockers are incredibly poor
